Our Vision

Dalyellup Cricket Club envisions a proud, strong, and inclusive destination that fosters community, culture, and commitment, providing a platform for all cricket enthusiasts to learn, compete, and excel.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to establishing an inclusive cricket club with a sustainable off-field foundation. Our aim is to retain current players and attract fresh talent to both junior and senior teams. Through a dynamic partnership with Dalyellup College, we've achieved remarkable success in junior grades, contributing to cricket's growth.

Where it all Began

The Dalyellup Beach Cricket Club was formed in the 2004/05 season by founding residents of the Dalyellup Beach Estate – Matthew Robinson and Peter Grygorcewicz. They both expressed a strong yearning for developing a cricket club from the ground up with a major focus on junior development.

This led to the creation and co-ordination of the Dalyellup Milo Have-A-Go Program for five to ten year olds. As the estate had no competition or practice facilities and nothing was planned, the program seemed like the logical start as it required no facilities.

The club nickname adopted became the “Settlers” and motto “Community, Culture, Commitment”. The mission was simple “To be the Premier Club in the Premier Estate”.

On the 20th June 2005, 16 residents attended the Club’s Inaugural Annual General Meeting with the first Dalyellup Beach Cricket Club committee being sworn in.

President: Peter Grygorcewicz
Vice President: Matthew Robinson
Treasurer: Tristan Oliver
Secretary: Darryl Christian
General committee members: Lachlan O’Connor, Ryan Loverock, Anthony Ward and Peter Bowen.

This lead to the club establishing a strong standing in the community, with the development of the first cricket facilities for the still relatively new estate.

The 2005/06 season saw the introduction of an Under 11’s and 14’s team into the B&DCA Juniors, the Seniors were accepted into the A & B Grades of the B&DCA Seniors and our Milo Program numbers increased to 47 kids.

Over the years the club has grown and has fielded thousands of players in juniors and senior competitions.

A Fresh Approach

Fast forward to 2022...and the club took a new direction under the leadership of newly appointed president Rod Jones and the elected committee.

A review was held of the club as a whole and along with a firm three year plan, the decision was made to change the name of the club to the Dalyellup Cricket Club, changing the colours to orange and black, acknowledging the first nations people in our logo, and embracing that Dalyellup continues to grow as a suburb.

On the field the excitement grew with the introduction of the inaugural Dalyellup Cricket Club Women's side. This was a momentous occasion and one celebrated within the club.

These changes saw the club marking a significant stride toward gender equality in our beloved sport. This bold step reflects our unwavering commitment to inclusivity and further enriches the tapestry of our club's legacy.

Building Bonds Beyond the Pitch

Beyond the thrill of the game, Dalyellup Cricket Club is committed to creating enduring connections through a vibrant array of social events. These gatherings seamlessly weave together members from Dalyellup, Gelorup, Boyanup, and the broader Bunbury community, uniting individuals who share an unwavering passion for cricket.
